Turning Point, Inc. is seeking a dedicated, compassionate and board certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor to join our team. In this rewarding role, you’ll provide vital counseling and therapy services to individuals overcoming substance use challenges, empowering them to build healthier, more fulfilling lives.


What You’ll Do:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and goals
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual’s recovery journey
  • Lead individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based approaches
  • Apply ASAM criteria to guide treatment decisions and ensure best practices
  • Monitor client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care
  • Offer education and support to clients’ families, fostering understanding and healing
  • Maintain detailed and timely documentation using our electronic health record system
  • Engage in ongoing supervision and professional development to stay current with counseling research and techniques

Requirements:Who We’re Looking For:
  • Board Certified LADC
  • Licensed or license-eligible Alcohol and Drug Counselor with a passion for client-centered care
  • Solid knowledge and skills of mental health and substance use treatment approaches
  • Familiarity with insurance processes and thorough documentation practices
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with clients and collaborate with teams
  • Ability to stay composed and efficient in fast-paced, high-stress environments
  • Genuine empathy and respect for individuals on their recovery journey
  • Proficient with electronic health records and relevant software
  • Knowledge of criteria and evidence-based counseling methods
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and client confidentiality
  • Eagerness to grow professionally through continuing education and supervision
