OUR CLIENT IS SEEKING School Psychologist in PHILADELPHIA, PA.
Paraprofessionals are assigned to students who regularly need assistance to maintain appropriate and equitable participation in school. They assist students one on one or in group settings.
SUMMARY OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Under the direction of the Principal (or Designee) and/or Supervisor, the School Psychologist will:
* Identify at-risk students and develop research-based academic and behavioral interventions in the least restrictive environment.
* Initiate, participate in, and follow through on the Review of Existing Evaluation Data (REED), MET (Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation Team)/IEPT procedures as appropriate.
* Provide crisis prevention and intervention and follow up as the situation requires.
* Administer full psychological, academic, social-emotional evaluations for students in both Face to Face and Remote environments.
* Interpret assessment findings clearly to parents /guardians and attendees at Individual Educational Planning Team (IEPT) meetings.
* Ability to integrate evaluation data to make meaningful decisions regarding special education eligibility and develop appropriate present level statements as part of the IEPT process
* Attend school staff meetings and discipline specific staff meetings.
* Ability to use the technology designed for school psychologist for assessment scoring and report writing.
* Travel inside the district to different work locations within a given day and be physically able to transport testing kits, protocols and individual computer equipment (approximately 50 pounds) to work sites
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Exceptional Student Education or the Supervisors of the Clinical Services
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
* Minimum of a Master's or specialist degree from an accredited school psychology-training program.
* Minimum of two (2) years post master's degree experience working with school-aged children and families.
* Valid Permanent State of Pennsylvania School Psychologist Certification or provisional State of Pennsylvania School Psychologist Certification
* Current certification as a School Psychologist.
* Limited Licensed or Fully Licensed Psychologist Preferred.
