Key Responsibilities of the Surgical Technician:

Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments are sterilized and readily available.
Assist surgeons, nurses, and other members of the surgical team during surgical procedures, providing necessary instruments, supplies, and medications in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the patient is positioned correctly, draped appropriately, and prepped for surgery.
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon during the procedure and provide the required instruments, sutures, and other supplies promptly.
Maintain a sterile environment within the operating room by adhering to strict protocols and infection control guidelines.
Handle and care for specimens obtained during surgical procedures, ensuring proper labeling, transportation, and storage.
Safely transport patients to and from the operating room, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
Assure the availability of necessary equipment and supplies for emergency situations or unexpected events during surgery.
Clean and disinfect the operating room after each procedure, ensuring the readiness for subsequent surgeries.
Continuously update knowledge and expertise in surgical techniques, equipment, and trends in the field.

Requirements of the Surgical Technician:

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

BLS Certification
Licesned Surgical Tech Certification
NY License
2 years of experience as an Surgical Technician Working for Seven Healthcare:
