Security Officer for Museums

We are seeking a Security Officer to become an integral part of our team to guard museums and their property against fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry. The selected individual will patrol and secure assigned premises as well as identify risks to staff and patrons. The compensation is $15.00 per hour. Please do NOT apply if this is not acceptable. The shift is approximately 11 am to 6 pm, 4-5 days a week. Some hours may vary occasionally. Weekends and Holidays are required.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations.
• Stand at a post and inspect visitors.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations

• Must have a Valid NYS Security License
