Pediatric RN Care Manager

Salary: $95,000 – $125,000 per year
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, day hours
Location: Onsite, inpatient setting

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager of Clinical Care Coordination to oversee daily operations of the Care Coordination team within an inpatient pediatric unit. This is a primarily administrative leadership role with responsibility for a small patient panel, providing a balance of management and direct clinical work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the clinical care coordination program.
• Supervise and develop the care coordinators and admissions/outreach liaison.
• Ensure compliance with documentation standards and organizational competencies.
• Act as liaison between care coordination and unit nursing leadership.
• Monitor quality and performance improvement outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing and medical staff.
• Provide direct patient care for a small caseload as needed.
• Plan, forecast, and monitor departmental budget, ensuring census and financial goals are met.
• Oversee utilization review processes, ensuring timely submissions and escalation of coverage concerns.

Qualifications

• Required: 5+ years of nursing experience preferred
• Experience with pediatric patients
• Leadership experience
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and provide clear feedback.
• Knowledge of family-centered care principles.
• Proficiency with computer applications and clinical documentation systems.
