Job Summary
AXIS Automation supplies equipment globally to the baking and snack food industry. Our topping, depositing, coating and conveying equipment is used in the production of some of your favorite foods! We are currently seeking a talented TIG welder/fabricator with a trained eye for detail to join our outstanding team!

Roles and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineered drawings and specifications
- Complete quality welds on sanitary stainless-steel components and assemblies in an open setup environment (Mainly TIG, some MIG) within acceptable tolerances and standards
- Document and communicate changes to improve quality and processes
- Ensure a safe work area and operating environment
- Support equipment assembly
- Position parts to be joined using fixtures and other tooling devices
- Join, fabricate, and repair materials by applying appropriate welding techniques for sanitary stainless tubes, square tube frames and thin sheet metal weldments
- Perform grinding, polishing, and other finishing to a sanitary finish to follow the grain
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to perform quality checks on incoming and finished product
- Assemble fabricated materials and equipment
- Utilize automated ERP systems to track labor and job status
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- High school equivalent with Minimum 5-years of welding experience
- Verifiable experience with TIG stainless steel and the ability to pass a welding test
- General manufacturing knowledge and comprehension of welding standards are essential
Desired Requirements - (but not required)
- Current welding certification is a plus but not required
- TIG welding on stainless-steel components
- Experience with basic assembly of equipment and sub-assemblies
Physical Requirements
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
- Requires the use of PPE to include but not limited to; steel toe shoes, safety glasses and approved welding helmet, in manufacturing area
- Standing and/or squatting for extended periods of time
- Occasional overhead welding
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
