Job Title: Insurance Claims Representative

Location: Houston, TX

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Pay Rate Starting at: $19.69 / Hourly

Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Insurance Claims Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and resolving insurance or service claims efficiently and accurately, while delivering excellent customer service. You'll serve as the liaison between clients, providers, and internal departments, ensuring all claims are handled according to policy, regulatory standards, and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, verifying, and processing healthcare claims from providers, and patients.
• Applying appropriate medical codes (ICD, CPT, HCPCS) to procedures and diagnoses.
• Communicate with claimants, providers, and internal departments to gather and relay information
• Ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines, billing regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all claim activity.
• Following up on unpaid or denied claims and initiating appeals as necessary.
• Escalate complex or high-risk claims to senior staff or management as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
• Identifying and correcting coding errors or inconsistencies.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns professionally .

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have 2 years of current experience in claims, insurance, healthcare, or a related field
• No auto insurance or adjuster
• Must be able to start within the next week
• Excellent opportunity with an insurance company

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Proficient with computers and data entry; experience with claims software a plus
