Responsibilities
Job SummaryIES Residential is seeking a skilled and motivated Plumber to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. You'll be working on new construction and renovation projects, primarily in residential settings.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, inspect, and repair plumbing systems including water, drainage, and gas lines.
Read and interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
Install fixtures (e.g., sinks, toilets, water heaters, bathtubs).
Perform pressure tests on piping systems.
Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and safety standards.
Communicate with supervisors, contractors, and clients regarding project needs or issues.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Complete daily work orders, reports, and documentation accurately and timely.
Qualifications
QualificationsRequired:High school diploma or GED.
- Gas fitters card for the State of Albama
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential or multi-family plumbing.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Strong understanding of safety procedures and OSHA standards.
Current State of Alabama Journeyman or Master Plumber license (or ability to obtain).
Experience with PEX, PVC, CPVC, and copper installations.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Ability to work in hot, cold, or inclement weather conditions.
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs, stand or kneel for extended periods, and work in confined spaces or elevated heights.
Use of ladders, lifts, hand tools, and power equipment required.
