Global Shop Systems Technician

Primary duties and responsibilities:

1. Responsible for creating and revising bills of materials and routers in Global Shop with special regard to ease and cost of production.
2. Fixes discrepancies on BOMs and routers identified by production and accounting.
3. Resolved problems identified on Issues Forms.
4. Issues Engineering Change Notices and maintains appropriate records.
5. Trouble shoots various issues in an efficient manner.
6. Adheres to Tiffin Metal processes/procedures and Engineering standards.
7. Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

1. Proficient in Global Shop.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Knowledge of fabricating, welding, powder coating and assembly processes.
4. Proficient blue print reading and record keeping skills.
5. Problem solving, root cause analysis and ability to make decisions.

Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge:

1. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an associate’s degree,
2. Strong written/verbal communication skills and
3. 2-3 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing department.

Physical environment/working conditions:

1. Both office and factory settings.
