Lead Certified Peer Support Specialist
Location: New Castle, DE - County Wide Travel Required

Schedule: Monday - Friday 3pm to 11pm
Pay Rate: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on experience.
Job Summary:
As the Lead Certified Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in our efforts to provide comprehensive support and resources to individuals facing mental health or substance abuse challenges. In this specialized leadership position, you will supervise and coordinate a team of peer support specialists, leveraging your own lived experience and expertise to guide and empower others on their recovery journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct peer support services to individuals in need, drawing upon your personal experiences and training
- Supervise and mentor a team of certified peer support specialists, ensuring they deliver high-quality, compassionate care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized recovery plans
- Facilitate support groups and educational workshops to promote wellness and self-advocacy
- Maintain detailed case notes and documentation in accordance with agency policies and procedures
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices

- Certified Peer Support Specialist certification must be current

- Knowledge of community resources and social services available to support client needs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and comfortable with data entry and record-keeping
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a peer support or related mental health/substance abuse role
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a empathetic and non-judgmental approach
- Knowledge of community resources and social services available to support client needs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and comfortable with data entry and record-keeping
- Must have a vaild Driver's License
Working Conditions:
The work environment is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to community events and client homes. Some evening and weekend work may be required to accommodate client needs.
