JOB SUMMARY
Mavericks Manufacturing Partners, Inc. is a best-in-class welding and metal additive manufacturing (AM) company specializing in the manufacturing of weldments for critical applications in a variety of high-end markets. Examples of applications are critical fleet (US Navy), spacecraft and satellites, aerospace, clean tech, alternative energy, semiconductor, AGtech, medical devices, and nuclear components.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an entry level Manufacturing Technician I to join our team located in Escondido, CA.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• With limited direction, this position will function in support of tasks and objectives that ensure business needs are met.
• Operate a forklift when needed. Must be able to pass CalOSHA-required forklift safety and operational training and certification.
• Assist welders in the shop with weldment fit-up, tack welding, job kitting, weld finishing, etc.
• Learn and utilize IT systems, such as ProShop, to complete job duties.
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks as needed. Management will provide training and oversight.
• Make deliveries and pickups using Company vehicle(s) as required.
• Make facility improvements, as assigned.
• Make meaningful contributions towards our goal of establishing a “best in class” Welding Center of Excellence (CoE).
• Support weld qualification activities, such as Procedure Qualification Record (PQR), Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), Performance Qualification Test Record (PQTR). Management will provide training and oversight.
• Participates in resolving manufacturing issues and non-conformances.
• May represent the organization in providing solutions to technical issues associated with specific projects.
• Demonstrate the willingness to learn welding processes, such as GTAW (aka TIG), GMAW (aka MIG), etc. Management will provide training and oversight.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Requires a high degree of technical acumen and hands-on skills.
• Entry level knowledge of and experience with a variety of tools (e.g., mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, etc.).
• Must demonstrate the ability to work safely and look out for the safety of others.
• Must demonstrate and maintain a good driver’s record.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have or demonstrate a willingness to gain an understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and processes.
• Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment. In other words, be “coach-able” and flexible.
• Must have excellent communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform simple tasks.
• Must be Windows Operating System (OS) software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) proficient.
• A willingness to become proficient in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, is desirable.
• Able to walk for long periods of time, stoop, squat, climb, and work extended hours and weekends if required.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

• Weld Workmanship Standards, both commercial and US Navy
• Manufacturing process workflows
• Special Process (i.e., welding) quality controls
• Manufacturing Execution System (MES) knowledge (i.e., ProShop)
COMPESATION:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience
