What is a Navy SEAL?

SEALs are deployed globally to carry out high-risk operations in extreme conditions, from deserts and jungles to arctic and maritime environments.
Key Responsibilities
As a Navy SEAL, you will:
- Conduct special operations missions, including direct action, counterterrorism, and reconnaissance worldwide.
- Operate in extreme environments such as jungles, mountains, deserts, and open ocean.
- Use advanced tactics and technology, including cutting-edge weapons and intelligence systems.
- Perform high-risk infiltration via parachute, submarine, high-speed boats, and land vehicles.
- Train and lead specialized teams while developing advanced leadership skills.
Training and Development
No prior military experience is required, but only the most determined candidates succeed. Training includes:
- Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) Training.
- Advanced weapons and combat training.
- Parachuting and airborne operations.
- Diving and underwater demolition.
- Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE).
