These aircraft engineers are experts in all the various aircraft subsystems such as: electrical systems, mechanical systems, engines, and flight controls. These engineers utilize the labs to test their systems prior to deploying to the real aircraft.  The labs are full representations of the aircraft so you can get in and fly them around.  The labs are built using the real aircraft controllers and interfacing those controllers to a simulation platform which run aircraft subsystem simulation models. We build the simulation models using the Mathworks products, Simulink and Matlab then deploy that code on real time simulation platforms (ADI, Speedgoat, NI, Concurrent) which interface to the aircraft system controllers (i.e. Flight Controls, Brakes, Engines).  We also do scripting in Python in order to facilitate the testing of aircraft interfaces, create utilities that support the lab operations, as well as create tools for our own group’s usage.  You may be asked to work on a Simulink model, Python script, the real time simulation platform, or work on integration tasks between the simulation platform, simulation models, and the aircraft controllers./p p /p pstrongEducation Requirement/strong/p pMust be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following disciplines: /p ul liAerospace Engineering/li liElectrical Engineering/li liCivil Engineering/li /ul p /p pstrongHobbies / Interests/strong/p ul liPilot license/li liDrones, robotics, microprocessors, Arduinos/li /ul p /p pstrongDesired Skills/strong/p ul liModeling amp; Simulation (Simulink)/li liCoding (Matlab, Python)/li liLab work with focus on integrating H/W amp; S/W together/li /ul p /p pstrongList of Classes Taken/Planned/strong/p ul liAerodynamics/li liAircraft Flight Dynamics/li liFlight Controls/li /ul pstrong /strong/p pstrongBenefits Include/strong/p ul liCompany-provided housing/li liCompetitive pay/li liMedical coverage/li liPaid Time Off/li li401(k) match/li liMentorship/li liCollegiate networking events/li liAnd more!/li /ul p /p pemPlease note that this job description may remain active until October 10, 2025.
