Supports patient care delivery in Emergency department, Clinic and possibly Switchboard. Employees are required to work 2 shifts per pay period. Our office is located at 240 Maple Ave., Mukwonago, WI./spanspan/span/ppspanWe offer 6-8 weeks of paid training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment. /spanspan/span/ppspanstrongPrimary Responsibilities: /strong/spanspan/span/pullispanGreets visitors and patients in person/spanspan/span/lilispanCommunicates by telephone or video conferencing, upholding excellent customer service/spanspan/span/lilispanHandles confidential information appropriately by protecting and disclosing information to only those authorized/spanspan/span/lilispanPrioritizes by assessing and analyzing information to identify immediate emergency needs/spanspan/span/lilispanDemonstrates technical knowledge and competence in the departmental procedures and maintains current physician on – call schedules to ensure appropriate communication to ProHealth Care Physicians/spanspan/span/lilispanEnters and updates patient demographic and financial information, ensuring the patient is fully registered as early in the process as possible/spanspan/span/lilispanObtains appropriate applications and forms, confirming signatures are on file. Photocopies / scans documents as needed/spanspan/span/lilispanProvides patients with financial responsibility information and collects patient liabilities, documents amounts in the appropriate fields, and balances the cash box daily/spanspan/span/lilispanWorks with partnering departments (Financial Counseling, Scheduling, Financial Clearance, and clinical areas) to ensure all aspects of the patient’s encounter are completed as needed/spanspan/span/lilispanProvides wayfinding instructions and assists with hospital information as requested/spanspan/span/lilispanCoordinates patient admission needs, bed assignments, and tracking boards where applicable/spanspan/span/lilispanMeets or exceeds audit accuracy standards.
