The RSS Case Manager will provide case management as needed to newly arriving refugees who are from eligible Office of Refugee Resettlement populations.nbsp; Case Manager will link clients to available resources to meet immediate and long-term needsstrong Bilingual /strongin a target language #39;Bilingual in a target language (Dari, Pashto, Ukrainian, Russian, Arabic, Swahili, Spanish, French) strongnbsp;is preferred./strong/span/p pnbsp;/p ul lispan style="font-size:12pt"span style="font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"span style="font-size:11.0pt"Travel between counties may be required. Possibility of extension will be based on federal and state funding availability and is not guaranteed./span/span/span/li /ul p style="margin-left:7px; margin-right:7px; text-align:justify"span style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"strongEssential Functions:/strong/span/p ol lispan style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"Manage refugee cases, ensuring timely delivery of services and fulfillment of requirements outlined by the Office of Refugee Resettlement and the North Carolina Department of Social Services, and as required by LSC standards and procedures./span/li lispan style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"Conduct comprehensive assessments with refugees to assess needs and barriers, and to facilitate connections to appropriate services for meeting identified needs/span/li lispan style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"Take leadership to ensure provision of professional, confidential, culturally- and socio- economically-sensitive case management services to clients. These services can include transportation and bus orientation to interviews, liaison with interpreters, cultural orientation, housing and legal referrals, and addressing other employment barriers such as health care, childcare, ESL and other./span/li lispan style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"Develop and maintain a file of resources and referrals based on core needs./span/li lispan style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"In collaboration with Community Engagement Coordinator, identify and develop partnerships with community organizations and resources that can support clientsrsquo; needs/span/li lispan style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"Coordinate and provide quarterly extended Cultural Orientation on topics identified as most applicable to current refugee needs./span/li lispan style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"Assist clients in applying for or renewing social services benefits./span/li lispan style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"Maintain timely and accurate client files, case notes, and reporting records./span/li lispan style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"Take leadership in documentation and reporting in accordance with contractual requirements and HIPAA guidelines./span/li lispan style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"Prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of core services and timely reporting./span/li lispan style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"Follow all Lutheran Services Carolinas policies and procedures./span/li lispan style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, co-sponsors and volunteers, local agencies and organizations, and funders/span/li lispan style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"nbsp;Collaborate with volunteers and Volunteer Services staff to support the work of volunteers engaging with clients to meet the goals of the clientrsquo;s service plan/span/li lispan style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif"Collaborate with volunteers and community organizations to support clients as they work toward completing their service plan. Ability to navigate computer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point). Awareness and sensitivity to the service populationrsquo;s cultural and socio-economic characteristics is required.
