Thenbsp;RN is responsible for the overall nursing care/service on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated.brbrstrongPrimary Responsibilities:/strong/p ul liSupervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift./li liAdministers direct care as necessary./li liAdminister prescribed medications to patients./li liMake rounds to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment./li liKeeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents' condition./li liAssists in developing comprehensive care plans./li /ul pstrongOther Duties:/strong/p ul liMaintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident./li liMaintains accurate documentation of all care rendered./li liResponds to resident emergency call system./li liInterfaces with other disciplines to assure continuity of care and services./li liAccompanies physicians when making rounds./li liEncourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence./li liParticipates in family/resident counseling, as necessary./li liAssists with the orientation and evaluation of nursing personnel./li liAttends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned./li liAssures proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies./li /ul pstrongQualifications/strong/p ul liAll nurses must be currently licensed in the State. Must have current CPR certification./li liPrevious experience in nursing, patient care, or other related fields, at least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting preferred./li /ul piAll new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
