Must meet all clearance requirements of the Morehouse Parish School District.nbsp;/p p2. Must have completed the Coaches Education Certification program (CECP) sponsored by the Louisiana High School Athletic br /nbsp; nbsp; Association (LHSAA).nbsp;nbsp;/p p3. Must provide proof of a high school diploma (minimum) and have graduated at least four years prior to being approved to br /nbsp; nbsp; coach any sport.nbsp;/p p4. Must be approved by the school principal.nbsp;/p p5. Previous coaching experience is preferred, especially in school or youth sports settings/p p6. Must have knspan style="font-size: 10pt;"owledge of LHSAA rules and regulations/span/p p7. Strong communication and leadership skills/p p8. Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and student athletes/p p9. Commitment to ongoing training in coaching methods and student engagement/p pnbsp;/p pstrongContract Terms/strong/p pCECP coaches are contracted for strongone sport season/strong.nbsp; The school principal has the authority to dismiss anbsp;CECP coach at any time if deemed necessary.nbsp;/p pnbsp;/p pstrongAdditional Information fornbsp;/strongstrongNon-Faculty Coachesbr / /strongBeginning November 1, 2009, the following guidelines shall be used when utilizing a non-faculty coach at any LHSAA member schools:/p pnbsp;/p pstrongCourse Requirement/strong/p pMust complete thenbsp;strongNFHS ndash; Fundamentals of Coaching/strongnbsp;course, including thenbsp;strongLouisiananbsp;Component/strong.nbsp;nbsp;Cost: $140.00; Payment: Credit card only, at the time of registration with NFHS./p pstrongbr //strongstrongCertification/strong/p pUpon completion, the individual will receive a certificate and certificate number from NFHS./p pstrongbr /Principal Submission/strong/p pThe certificate must be submitted to the principal of the school where the individual will coach./p pstrongbr /Registrationbr //strongThe principal will register the non-faculty coach with the LHSAA/p pstrongbr /Verification Form/strong/p pThe principal and coach must complete thenbsp;strongLHSAA/Non-Faculty Coach Meeting Verificationnbsp;Form/strongnbsp;(available only to LHSAA member school principals)./p pbr /Both the certificate and the completed verification form must be filed in the coachrsquo;s school folder./p
