padding:5px; display:none; opacity:.8;"span class="normal"bEARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIAL EDUCATION ASSISTANT POSITION AVAILABLEnbsp;/bbr br Special Education Class 3C Education Assistantsbr New Hope Learning Center or other district building as determined by program leadershipbr Seven hours per day, which includes 6.5 hours of paid work time and 30 minutes of unpaid lunch timebr $24.03 per hour basednbsp;on Class 3C of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement for Education Assistantsbr br nbsp;br bRESPONSIBILITIES/b ul dir="ltr"li role="presentation"Assist in daily classroom preparations including planning, set-up and clean-up of children’s learning environment/li li role="presentation"Foster a positive environment to support the academic, social and emotional development of all students/li li role="presentation"Engage and maintain positive relationship and interact with all children in the classroom/li li role="presentation"Support the classroom teacher and special education staff with keeping accurate records, collecting data, and maintaining other classroom systems/li li role="presentation"Provide for the health and safety of children by following program expectations and standards/li li role="presentation"Assist teacher with guidance and supervision of children based on program expectations/li li role="presentation"Work as a team member with all classroom staff/li li role="presentation"Honor all families with regard toward culture and diversity/li li role="presentation"Attend required staff development and staff meetings/li li role="presentation"Works with individuals and/or small groups when assigned by classroom teacher and/or special education staff./li li role="presentation"Provides support for students in crisis and individualized interventions based on student need as directed by the general education teacher and/or the special education staff./li li role="presentation"Engage in classroom discussions, communicate respectfully and be open to feedback and opportunities to learn./li li role="presentation"Willingness to lift, carry and physically manage as necessary./li li role="presentation"Other duties as assigned by teacher or administration/li /ul br bQUALIFICATIONS/b ul dir="ltr"li role="presentation"At least two years of college credits (60 credits in MN), an associate's or higher degree, or a passing score on the ParaPro or Paraeducator Assessment/li li role="presentation"Experience working with students who have cognitive disabilities, physical disabilities and behavior problems preferred./li li role="presentation"Exhibit a positive attitude, openness to new ideas, and a growth mindset/li li role="presentation"Cultural awareness, gender fairness, and disability awareness/li li role="presentation"Physical stamina to complete tasks and work with small children (infants, toddlers, and preschoolers).ulli role="presentation"This includes the ability to: lift up to 30 lbs;
