Sales Associate - Part-time

pThe purpose of this job description is to give new employees an overview of what is expected of a Sales Associate at Hot Spot Stores.nbsp; The following list is not all-inclusive, the position may be asked to perform other duties, especially those that are not considered usual and customary in the convenience store industry. Cashiers must report to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager for assistance and guidance./ppnbsp;/ppstrongStore Operations:/strong/pulliStock refrigerator units with drinks and perishable goods./liliStock and merchandise product./liliEnsure prompt reconciliation of store operations paperwork./liliKeep work area neat, clean, and organized./liliClean front/face and restock shelving, displays, and coolers as needed.nbsp; Clean coffee bar/snack area, equipment, and stock as needed. Keep coolers and cooler doors clean./liliMaintain cleanliness of restrooms and facilities./liliAble to use lottery, money order, check cashing, gas, and prepaid phone card machines./liliMake drops into the safe per instructions./liliPrepare shift reports accurately./liliFollow all required procedures for robbery prevention./liliAssist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with store operations./liliFollow company policies and procedures as well as state and local laws concerning alcohol, tobacco, money orders, ephedrine sales, and lottery sales./liliPeriodically check parking lot, pumps, trash cans, towels and windshield wash for customers and stocked during shift./li/ulpstrongnbsp;/strong/ppstrongCustomer Service:/strong/pulliEnsure prompt, efficient and courteous customer service./liliGreet and thank all customers in a timely and professional manner./liliSuggest possible purchases to the customer and promote store specials./liliDress in a manner that is consistent with the Hot Spot and Shell Store policies./li/ulpstrongnbsp;/strong/ppstrongJob Specifications:/strong/pulliAbility to follow instructions/liliAbility to work variable shifts, weekends, and holidays/liliAbility to work independently/li/ulpnbsp;/ppstrongVariable employeesnbsp;are hired with the knowledge that the company cannot initiallynbsp;determine how many hours the employee will work per week/strong/ppstrongnbsp;/strong/ppstrongPhysical Requirements:/strong/pulliIntermittent sitting, standing, bending and able to lift up to 50lbs./liliExposure to cold temperatures when stocking refrigerator units/liliAbility to use safety equipment within the store./li/ulpemThe Company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
