Our FSD’s are responsible for providing professional customer-focused security and life safety services for the people and the property they protect and the staff that they may lead. /p h2Essential Duties and Responsibilities/h2 ul liA true Leader position/li liMaintain a professional demeanor while leading staff and aiding customers, employees, visitors, and guests/li liMaintain a visible presence in the facility / building assigned/li liMonitor the environment, with the ability to detect suspicious and unsafe activity/li liResponsible for becoming familiar with incoming and outgoing traffic, know the customers, tenants, visitors, and guests/li liAnswer all phones in a professional manner and demonstrate ability to perform clear and audible announcements/li liPermit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits/li liKnow the facility / building policies and procedures, and enforce them within the limits of the position/li liFollow established emergency action planning, procedures, fire protection, and safety standards/li liMonitor alarms and systems as required/li liMay perform operations related functions to include; scheduling, overtime management, review of daily logs and incident reports, training and development of staff, as required/li liTest and inspect fire extinguishers and other fire protections devices to ensure compliance to fire and safety standards/li liDiscusses violations and unsafe conditions with site representative/li liPrepares reports, such as inspections performed, standards violations, and recommendations for eliminating fire hazards/li liMaintains records and logs, as required by law/li liMaybe called upon to perform fire-fighting duties during emergencies/li liMay train others in fire emergency response plans/li liAssists in fire drills, as required /li liMay perform other inspections, and safety duties as required/li liMay perform additional security services functions, as permitted under any required Security Officer license and as specified for the assigned site(s), in addition to Fire Inspector duties/li liThe essential duties and responsibilities may differ by customer location assigned/li /ul h2Knowledge and Skill Requirements/h2 ul liState or municipality mandated security officer licenses/li liMinimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent/li liMust have Fire Safety Directors license/li liKnowledge of or ability to learn fire inspection operations, and procedures/li liMust have reliable means of communication and transportation/li liStrong interpersonal communication skills/li liMust have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable period/li liPrevious contract security, law enforcement, fire department, military, customer service experience preferred/li liGood organizations skills/li liStrong interpersonal communication skills/li liWrite routine detailed correspondence, to include log entries, incident and reporting/li liAbility to work in a fast paced, customer service environment/li liGood time management skills and the ability to prioritize and problem solve/li liGood computer skills including Microsoft Office/li /ul h2Compensation/h2 pHarvard Protection Services offers a competitive hourly pay rate 32.50 with health welfare, dental, vision, sick leave, vacation, and 401K enrollment benefit opportunities./p pstrongAbout Harvard Protection Services: /strong/p pHarvard Protection Services maintains true to our long-standing belief, Employees First and Customer Service.
