Retail Associate

We are looking for passionate baseball/softball retail associates for our specialty sports store that specializes in baseball/softball equipment.  The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping customers find the right products.  As a Retail Associate you will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience, driving sales, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store.

• Full Time Position Mon. – Fri. 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Limited weekends; every other Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and no Sundays
• Pay starts at $14 to $16 per hour, depending on skills, experience, and efficiency. Monthly and Year-end bonus Eligible
• Limited opening and closing duties, so limited after-hours requirements

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and identify customer needs
• Always exceed customer expectations
• Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, ensuing effective phone etiquette
• Listen to customers and ask appropriate questions so that we can make recommendations and help the customer make the most informed decision possible
• Learn about the different products and technologies so that as a sales associate you can be the subject matter expert for the customer
• Explain products and services to customers
• Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock
• Enter and process customer orders
• Investigating and resolve customer complaints

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
• Outgoing personality and willingness to learn
• Must be dependable and willing to work occasional overtime
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build rapport with customers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work well with minimal supervision and display excellent problem-solving skills.
