Role Description
The Vice President of Operations and Business Planning is responsible for operations, business management and planning. This role requires deep operational knowledge across the company's entire vertical, and ability to direct cross-functional teams.
The VP, Operations & Business Planning is a key leader who will work closely with our CEO, implementing and supporting a clear strategic vision for our businesses and will be effective in communicating, motivating and inspiring our team in executing that vision through hands-on leadership, optimism, strategic risk-taking and focused metrics of success.
This position will be reporting to the CEO. This position will also collaborate with Sales, Planning, Production, Farm, Creative, Marketing, Distribution, Legal, Finance and Administrative Operations teams across the entire Rose company.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading the execution of long and short-range planning. This is inclusive of financial review, and presentation of company forecasts, annual operating plans, and capital.
- Act as a business advisor and key business partner for management teams and support them in their decision-making processes
- Develop and manage a professional staff, motivate and direct teams in their goals and objectives
- Create, maintain and report on key business metrics to ensure business objectives are met
- Develop knowledge and fluency in the business performance and financial drivers to advise on key business planning assumptions and opportunities
- Responsible for review of local contracts
- Initiate business planning around ongoing growth and expansion
- Partner closely with HR to ensure team wellbeing and evolution of culture
- Oversee all weekly accounting activities, sales tax and annual filings
Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant work experience
- CPG Industry business planning experience a plus
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
- Proven ability to manage and develop teams
- Demonstrated ability to persuasively present complex business issues and solutions, clearly and concisely
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- A passion for impacting the culinary, cannabis, agriculture and CPG industry in positive way
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
