Exciting Opportunity: Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care / Physician Assistant - Acute & Family Care

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently evaluate and treat adult and pediatric patients (6 months and older) in urgent care settings.
  • Perform minor procedures such as I&D, lac repairs, and ear irrigation.
  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical records efficiently, demonstrating proficiency in documentation.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with support staff and physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain current certifications, including Board Certification (BC/NCCPA), PA or NP certification, and BLS.
  • Manage patient caseloads, averaging approximately 40 patients daily, in a 12-month minimum experience environment.
  • Uphold clinical standards and protocols while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Required Skills:
  • Valid board certification (BC/NCCPA or NP Boards).
  • Minimum of 12 months of clinical experience in urgent, emergency, or family medicine.
  • Proficiency in using EPIC EMR system.
  • Strong soft skills, including excellent communication and patient rapport.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision, handling all aspects of patient care.
  • Current BLS certification.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with procedures such as I&D, lac repairs, and ear irrigation.
  • Familiarity with pediatric care and managing diverse patient populations.
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary team in a high-volume urgent care environment.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Board-certified Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants.
  • At least one year of relevant clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or family practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle independently all patient encounters in urgent care settings.

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to support multiple clinic locations within a 65-mile radius.
  • Availability to complete EMR training and onboarding prior to first solo shift.
  • No travel or lodging reimbursement offered; mileage reimbursement available.
  • Must be eligible for Medicare enrollment via credentialing process.
  • Candidate availability should be clearly indicated in bid presentations.
