The Engineering ADP is “hosted” by the Global Supply Chain Organizational Development Department and participants are matched with one of our manufacturing or distribution facilities. Identified candidate can begin in January or July of 2026 and will report to the Rochester, Pennsylvania site for the duration of the training.

Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Engineering Manager with: 

  • Opportunity to work/lead projects that may include: 

  • Updating the site’s process/value stream map 

  • Assisting with creating and submitting FCAs 

  • Learning all manufacturing/engineering systems 

  • Tools and processes 

  • Metrics and standards 

  • Process functional specifications 

  • Delivery systems & instrumentation 

  • Understanding Sherwin-William's control and quality systems to maximum benefits within the site 

  • Equipment analysis  

  • New installations and facility revisions  

  • Developing drawings and specifications for equipment layout  

  • Investigation of new plant engineering processes and techniques  

  • Assist management teams in execution and completion of CIP Projects 

  • Special projects as identified by the Engineering Team  

  • Knowledge of the many different areas within the Engineering function: Process, Controls, Robotics, RX, Continuous Improvement, Innovations, and Design 

  1. Minimum Requirements  

    • Must have a bachelor's degree in engineering by the start of this development program. 

    • Must be willing to relocate, as required, upon completion of the development program. 

    • Must be willing to relocate for this position 

    • Must have a minimum overall GPA of 2.8  

    • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age 

    • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future 

    • Must have at least one (1) year of work experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and/or Outlook).  

 

Preferred Qualifications 

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering 

    • Have previous Sherwin-Williams Internship or Co-Op Experience 

    • Have previous experience in the Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain Division 

    • Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service.
