Academic Physicians – Pediatric Rheumatology

Assistant Professor: $163,000-$189,000 a year; Associate Professor: $197,000-$235,000 a year; Professor: $235,000-$294,000 a year

The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pediatric Rheumatology, is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will provide primary outpatient clinical care for pediatric patients with rheumatologic illnesses in academic medical center and community settings, as well as consultative inpatient care. Appointees will also contribute to patient care, medical education, and scholarship, and join a vibrant, diverse, and distinguished community of faculty colleagues and learners at UChicago Medicine, the Biological Sciences Division, the Pritzker School of Medicine, and the University of Chicago and its affiliates. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity.

The University of Chicago Medical Center is designated as a Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and operates a nationally recognized burn unit. Comer Children’s Hospital is an integrated children’s hospital that offers a full complement of pediatric services with a total of 172 general pediatric, NICU, and PICU beds. The Department of Pediatrics includes more than 170 full-time faculty, clinical associates, and postdoctoral researchers. In addition to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, faculty conduct cutting-edge translational and clinical research.
