Job Description
The Inventory Control Clerk job involves monitoring and ensuring accurate and high-quality inventory levels by conducting cycle counts, verifying shipments, maintaining records, performing quality checks on products, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and implementing loss prevention strategies. This role requires strong attention to detail, data entry skills, and the ability to use inventory software to maintain stock levels, track product movement, and report issues to management.
INVENTORY CONTROL CLERK I
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Experience:
· 1-2 years Inventory control experience; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
· Certificate, licenses, and registrations in standing and riding, material handling equipment required. (must possess an active and valid driver’s license)
· Proficiency in inventory software (ERP/WMS) and basic computer applications like Microsoft Excel
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail for accurate counting and identifying discrepancies
- Data entry & computer skills
- Ability to organize inventory storage areas and manage tasks efficiently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving skills to research and troubleshoot inventory control problems.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to be on call and react to after hours emergencies on site.

The Inventory Control Clerk II role involves performing complex inventory tasks, resolving discrepancies, conducting detailed audits, and assisting with training peers, all while maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency of inventory. The Senior Inventory Control Clerk will perform complex inventory tasks, resolving discrepancies, conducting detailed audits, and mentoring and training peers, all while maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency of inventory. This role typically emphasizes analytical skills, deep understanding of inventory systems, and the ability to troubleshoot problems independently within a quality assurance framework. The Senior Inventory Control Clerk will also conduct cycle counts, verify shipments, and maintain records. This role requires strong attention to detail, data entry skills, and the ability to use inventory software to maintain stock levels, track product movement, and report issues to management.
