Job Description:

The College embraces and seeks to hire individuals who want to be a part of this environment and have the skill sets necessary to be successful in this position.The Part-Time: Library Technician provides customer service to library users, including general circulation assistance, planning and preparation of reserve materials, interlibrary loans, and account management at the Kiefer Library Circulation Desk, at the Greeley Learning Commons. The Library Technician performs other library services-related duties as assigned by the Director and/or the Librarians.Job Duties:
Provide customer service to library users, including assisting with check-out/check-in of items and managing users’ account records.
Communicate with students and Aims staff and faculty in a clear, proactive and positive manner.
Provide basic technology assistance to patrons (ie, check out laptops, hotspots, and other electronic equipment; troubleshoot common software and hardware issues).
Work with the library team to perform library-related duties, such as interlibrary loan and receiving/forwarding requests for materials, processing reserve textbooks and incoming library materials, sending billing notices, inventory, displays, and shelving.
Assistance with programming and libguides.
Work Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week; will include evening hours
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
Proficient in Microsoft 365, and familiarity with Windows 10 & 11.
Proficiency with Google Workspace.
Experience with spreadsheets, such as Excel, Smartsheet, or Google Sheets.
Experience with communication platforms such as Slack, Zoom, or other virtual meeting software.
Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks or requests while handling numerous interruptions.
Expertise using basic office equipment and productivity software; ability to learn how to use new software and equipment required for specific job assignment.
Strong communication skills, and function well independently and in a team environment.
Detailed oriented with experience in data management.
Ability to handle confidential tasks and materials with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
Library work experience, including experience working with Integrated Library System, archiving software, large-format scanners, document cameras, label makers, and other library-related hardware and software.
Community college work experience.
