Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 educational institution in Mentmore, NM, is seeking qualified therapy professionals for a contract position throughout the school year. This opportunity is designed for practitioners specializing in speech and physical therapy, with a focus on supporting student development within a structured school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic interventions tailored to the individual needs of students in grades K-12.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Assess, document, and monitor student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Participate in school meetings, contribute professional insight, and support overall student wellness.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, ethical standards, and best practices in school-based therapy services.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Certifications such as SLP - CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence), SLP - CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year), SLPA - School (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in School settings), PTA - School (Physical Therapist Assistant), or PT - School (Physical Therapist).
- Experience working in school environments with children and adolescents, preferably in K-12 programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Valid licensure or certification as required by professional and state regulations.
