About The Position
We are seeking a licensed Optometrist for an 18-day locum tenens assignment in Kansas, beginning on Sep 8, 2025. This role involves conducting eye exams, diagnosing and treating ocular diseases, and advising on follow-up care in various assisted living and nursing homes. Scheduled workdays are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Days are flexible, and multiple providers may be accommodated.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations
- Diagnose and treat various ocular diseases
- Prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses
- Advise patients, their families, and facility staff on necessary follow-up care
- Visit multiple assisted living and nursing home locations
Additional Information
- Geriatric experience or interest preferred
- Nursing home exposure is a plus
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Must be licensed in Kansas
- No prescribing of medications required
- Utilizes Nextgen EMR system
