Family Practice - Without OB Physician

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Washington. This opportunity starts on Sep 22, 2025, and spans 120 days, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 9am to 6pm. The role involves daytime shifts in a collaborative, teaching-oriented environment, supporting both primary care and walk-in clinic patients.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide care for patients with chronic and acute issues in a walk-in clinic setting when primary care providers are booked out
• Collaborate with the Emergency Room department to ensure appropriate patient care levels
• Supervise and mentor medical students, nurse practitioner students, and physician assistant students as assigned
• Participate in handoff with outgoing locum provider for smooth transition of care

Additional Information

• Minimum 3 years of Family Practice experience, including rural health
• Board certification in Family Medicine required
• Washington state license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications required
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Teaching experience or interest in working with students is beneficial
• Start date is flexible by one week if necessary to accommodate transition
