Travel Nurse RN - CVICU

LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Vero Beach, Florida.

Job Description & Requirements

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 18 months ICU experience required, 2 years preferred. Must have experience with cardiac and neuro patients as ICU is mixed.
• Certifications: AHA BLS & ACLS (required at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• First-timers: Accepted
• RTO: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Any additions later may not be approved.
• Locals: Accepted; same rate applies
• Pending License: Not accepted
• Block Schedule: Not accommodated
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs for 3x12’s, 40 hrs for 8/10’s

Facility Guidelines:

• COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious exemptions only)
• Flu Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious exemptions only)
• Smoke-Free Facility: All travelers must be nicotine-free; negative 10-panel + nicotine (cotinine) DS required
• Charting: EPIC (experience level 3 or 4 required; time-sensitive modules must be prioritized)

Skills Required:

Respiratory / Thoracic:

• Assist with management of BiPAP & CPAP
• Suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Care of ventilated patients
• Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)

IV Therapy:

• Arterial line management
• Central line care/management

Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Response:

• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure

Cardiovascular:

• Pulmonary Artery Line / Swan-Ganz monitoring
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump
• Post-cardiac surgery care (not directly from OR)

Medications:

• Titrate cardiac drips
• Titrate vasoactive drips
• Continuous IV sedation

Professional Topics / Skills:

• Isolation precautions / proper use of PPE
