Location/Shift: Belmont, MI - 3rd Shift and Rockford, MI - 1st, 2nd and 3rd Shift

Job Description

• Mentor and train Process Tech I and support functions wanting to become process techs.
• Start up, shut down, and monitor molding processes to produce products that meet the quality standards of BEP customers.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose forming processes when productivity, efficiency and quality standards are not achieved.
• Perform tool changes in a coordinated effort to minimize press downtime, while following safety protocols.
• Collaborates with Ops Manager to meet the daily changing priorities of tool changes and machine startups.
• Knowledge of auxiliary equipment used within the forming process: die heaters, hot runner controllers, valve gate systems, loaders and blenders.
• In collaboration with Process Engineers, assist in the execution of capability improvements and cost avoidance/savings opportunities.
• Ensure standardization of systems and processes across production shifts and teams.
• Identify and escalate processes that fall outside of parameters to be corrected under the guidance of Process Engineers.
• Continually seek process and system improvements to increase process capability, production yields, and productivity.
• Act as a subject matter expert on the production floor to assist Ops Manager to train and mentor production team members.
• Maintain a level of professionalism that accompanies a senior technical level position.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.
