Accounts Receivable - Collections Rep.

Eagerly seeking a Credit and Collections Representative with strong communication and people skills to coordinate credit and collection activities for both residential and commercial accounts. This role requires soft collections skills, making it ideal for candidates with some Accounts Receivable (A/R) experience, even at an entry level, as long as they have the right skill set. Key Responsibilities:

• Make outbound calls to approximately 200 customers per week who have been deemed uncollectible by field offices.
• Handle inbound calls from customers and field offices to resolve outstanding balances.
• Investigate and remediate billing disputes by working with the Customer Service Center (CSC) and reviewing documentation.
• Serve as a liaison to ensure proper dispute resolution and accurate collections procedures.
• Assess creditworthiness using company-provided scoring tools.
• Provide guidance to field offices on company credit and collection policies.
• Collaborate with outside agencies to validate contested charges and support collection efforts.
• Process bankruptcy filings efficiently to minimize company exposure and unnecessary litigation.
• Respond to helpdesk tickets and assist field offices with inquiries.
• Conduct daily account reviews to monitor doubtful account activity and ensure compliance with company procedures.

Qualifications:

• Degree preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of two years of soft collections experience (Accounts Receivable experience is acceptable).
• Strong computer skills with the ability to learn various software systems.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities.
