SUMMARY: Hospitality Supervisor / Brand Ambassador is responsible for maintaining all restaurant and bar operations while assisting in events as needed. This role will have a high focus on standardization and processes, inventory control, ordering, staff scheduling, training, cash handling and daily drawer reconciliation, guest facing, and any other duties as assigned by the General Manager of Hospitality. PREREQUISITES: Minimum two years' experience in hotel/restaurant/country club food and beverage management. • Exceptional people skills and demonstrated ability to build trust and relationships. • Exceptional written skills for client correspondence. • Exceptional organizational skills for record keeping, inventory control, and ordering. • Skilled at managing and dealing with customers by having a high level of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, misunderstandings, and ability to collect information and resolve conflicts on the spot. • Direct sales experience with every guest, every time mentality and the ability to promote the brand among all guest interactions with bar guests, tables, and fellow teammates. •
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • The expectations of this position require a 40–50-hour work week which includes weekends/evenings (Saturday and Sunday). Hours beyond 50 per week, must be approved in advance by your Supervisor. This only applies to associates who are non-exempt. • Advocate service excellence and teamwork to meet and exceed Guest Satisfaction benchmarks. • Manage all F&B outlets (Restaurant, Bar, Event Space Overflow, Remote/Mobile Bar locations, etc.) • Assess and understand local market trends and actively solicit new business and increase revenues in all areas of F&B. • Report and record all activities regarding revenues and cost controls in collaboration with General Manager. • Train and mentor F&B Teammates for growth and development within the values and business culture model. • Work directly with General Manager and Event Sales Executive to ensure adequate resource planning to meet the seasonal needs for staffing of F&B Teammates. • Ensure company Policies and Procedures are followed. Enforce company safety/security policies. • Record and maintain all required customer, teammate, vendor and company reports. • Cost control for Food & Beverage and P&L Management. • Train and mentor Teammates regarding performance standards and guidance for growth within the company organization. • Manage daily operational meetings as applicable to Food & Beverage. • Duties are subject to change and additional responsibilities/tasks may be assigned as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Exceptional time management and organizational skills. • Ability to network within the designated marker/business area and coordinate activities with Sales staff. • Exceptional administrative and writing skills with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and completeness. • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, service standards, food preparation, and presentation of food and beverage items. Ability to teach these skills to others. • Ability to prepare signage for Restaurant Events. • Ability to create themes and menus for restaurant events. • Must know dining space layouts using a variety of creative set-ups and configurations for restaurant and bar areas and manage the overall workflow of day-to-day operations. • Must be ServSafe Certified, TIPS Certified, ABC Certified.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Performing daily staff check-ins and maintaining restaurant and bar floor supervisor presence with the ability to work flexible schedule on evenings and weekends to ensure sales growth and exceptional execution of events, activations, and happenings. Some offsite sales work to solicit new business & attend offsite activations, etc. This is an in-person position. Off-site hours to be agreed upon in writing. • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to comprehend and communicate event and job functions. Must possess strong communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak effectively to convey information clearly and professionally. • This is an in person position requiring on-site presence Wednesday-Sunday, with a focus on availability during hospitality hours. • Includes weekend, holiday hours. • Ability to walk, sit, stand, reach, and bend for extended periods of time. • Ability to lift 50 lbs. • Must possess valid driver’s license
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED including but not limited to: • Assist with Off-Site Marketing, On-Site Event and Retail Sales, and Charity Events when needed • Retail Shop manning; Tours and Tastings; assist as requested • Assist with processing of Charitable Contribution requests • Limited Executive Assistant duties (shipping, scheduling, occasional errands) • Utility Player - assist as needed (includes hospitality duties such as tending bar, bussing tables and pre and post event cleaning) • May require periodic travel
