Position Description:
Design, develop, and maintain internal Edge web applications using Node.js and related technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Implement security and data protection measures
- Debug and resolve application issues and vulnerabilities
- Design and implement database schemas that represent and support business processes
Other Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain API integrations with third-party services
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Node.js development
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6+ features
- Experience with Node.js frameworks such as Express or Vue
- Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and its patterns in Node.js
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue)
- Experience with database technologies (MongoDB, MySQL, MariaDB)
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation
- Understanding of server-side templating languages
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Experience with automated testing platforms and unit tests
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Python, PHP, Symfony
