POSITION SUMMARY:

NCUS TEC is a pioneering institution committed to advancing the field of Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics education. We offer comprehensive programs designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the rapidly evolving landscape of advanced manufacturing and automation. As an instructor of advanced manufacturing and robotics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of manufacturing education and preparing students for successful careers in cutting-edge industries. You will oversee all aspects of the career technical education operations, curriculum development, strategic planning, and industry partnerships.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

1. Curriculum Development:

Lead the design and development of an innovative curriculum that integrates theory with hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing and robotics.

Ensure alignment with industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices in the field.

2. Program Management:

Oversee the implementation and execution of academic programs, ensuring high-quality instruction and student engagement.

Monitor program effectiveness and continuously seek opportunities for improvement and enhancement.

3. Student Success:

Foster a culture of student success, promoting academic excellence, career readiness, and lifelong learning.

Implement strategies to support student retention, graduation, and placement in relevant industries.

4. Industry Partnerships:

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, including manufacturing companies, technology firms, research institutions, and professional organizations.

Collaborate with industry stakeholders to identify workforce needs, develop customized training programs, and facilitate experiential learning opportunities for students.

5. Research and Innovation:

Encourage faculty and students to engage in research and innovation projects that advance the field of advanced manufacturing and robotics.

Seek external funding opportunities to support research initiatives and academic endeavors.

6. Community Engagement:

Maintain a high profile with district communities, public and private schools, local area colleges and universities to enhance enrollment growth and articulate programs and services.

Participate in outreach and engagement events.

ACCOUNTABILITY: Will participate in all staff meetings.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree or appropriate credentials in Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics related disciplines, at minimum 5 years work experience.

Experience: Recent experience working with students and career exploration as well as possibly with business and industry, mentor training, and/or student placement in job sites. **An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered

COMPUTER SKILLS: Experience in MS Office Word, Excel, Microsoft Office

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of workforce or industry trends in Central Ohio is highly recommended.

Advanced degree (Masters preferred) in engineering, robotics, manufacturing, or a related field.

Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of effectively managing teams, programs, or departments.

Strong understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and workforce development needs in advanced manufacturing and automation.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, industry partners, and community members.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work a flexible schedule that could include some evenings and weekends.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
