Early Childhood Teacher

Coastal Kids Academy's mission is to nurture children in a loving environment to produce world changers. CKA is called to serve the students and families within our community. This center is a model center of quality in childcare and education. We set a high expectation for training our children educationally in all aspects of development. As an employee, you will be expected to exemplify excellence in care and professionalism.

In addition to daily care duties including developmental and educational responsibilities, teachers are expected to represent CKA in developing children emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Duties may also include covering teacher absences due to illness, vacation, and personal leave. Responsibilities include basic childcare needs in all age classrooms, changing diapers, basic cleaning, understanding and following state standard protocol for care and safety, ability to read and follow the teacher-guided curriculum lesson plan, ability to manage a classroom with a fun and caring attitude. Ideal applicants need to be a team player, self-starter, flexible, problem solver, first-aid certified, CPR certified, and verification of TB screening. Continuing education of 12 credit hours per year.

This position is specifically for the hours of 11 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Or, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Applicants need flexible availability, as the center is open from 7 am - 5 pm. Background checks, references, and drug screens are required. Potential for part-time and full-time income
