The 22nd Judicial District Community Corrections and Juvenile Services is seeking a motivated professional to serve in a multifaceted role that includes Intake Coordinator, Juvenile Intensive Supervision Officer (JISO), and Immediate Intervention Program (IIP) Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Provide case management and conduct risk assessments
Implement supervision strategies that promote positive outcomes
Participate in and/or testify during court proceedings
Collaborate with law enforcement and court personnel
Maintain accurate client documentation in accordance with state and local standards
Conduct intake assessments for juvenile offenders and CINC juveniles
Coordinate scheduling for on-call intake workers
Requirements
Minimum 21 years of age
Valid driver’s license
No felony convictions or adjudications in any state
Not listed on the Kansas Adult or Child Abuse Registry
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Ability to obtain the following within 6 months of hire:
KDOC LS/CMI certification
Motivational Interviewing certification
Skills & Competencies
Ability to administer KDOC assessments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Sound judgment and decision-making with minimal supervision
Team-oriented but able to work independently across a four-county area
Proficient in Windows-based programs and data entry
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships
Active listening skills to understand different perspectives, values, and goals
Additional Information
Must be willing to travel throughout the 22nd Judicial District and the State of Kansas as needed
