Role Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on, sports-savvy leader to manage our store operations Friday through Sunday. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail setting, knows their way around a hockey stick and a treadmill, and enjoys helping customers find the right gear at the right price. You’ll lead the weekend team, oversee inventory flow, and make sure every customer leaves feeling like a champion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the weekend staff to deliver outstanding customer service
• Manage daily operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and inventory control
• Oversee the buying and selling process of used and new sporting goods
• Ensure accurate product pricing, tagging, and merchandising
• Educate customers on gear performance, fit, and value—especially in trade-in scenarios
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
• Monitor weekend sales performance and report insights to ownership
• Represent the Play It Again Sports brand with enthusiasm and integrity

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail management experience, preferably in sporting goods or resale retail
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Passion for sports and fitness—whether you play, coach, or just know your gear
• Familiarity with inventory systems and POS platforms
• Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently
• Availability to work Fridays through Sundays, including promotional weekends and holidays
