Travel Nurse RN - PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - $1,800 per week

Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Corsicana, Tennessee.

Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care
• Discipline: RN

• Duration: 13 weeks
• 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8 hours, days
• Employment Type: Travel

Role: PACU / Day Surgery RN
Shift: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (variable)

• Call: 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM, at least 1 shift per week
• Weekend call: 1 in 4 weeks
  Contract Length: 13 weeks 

Requirements:

• RN licensure
• BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Minimum 2 years’ PACU/Day Surgery experience

Unit Details:

• Beds: 23
• Patient ratio: varies
• Majority outpatient, Stage II recovery environment
• EMR: MedHost + paper charting
• Scrubs: any solid color
• Skills needed:
  • IV starts (same-day surgery patients)
  • Admission assessments (SDS)
  • Med reconciliation, especially for diabetic patients (Type I & II)
  • Discharge teaching for endoscopy patients
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient setting
