Summary:
As a Die and Mold Maintenance Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of die and mold equipment. This entry-level position is designed to provide hands-on training and experience in the field of die and mold maintenance, preparing you for a successful career in the industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:

Assist in the inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of die and mold equipment.
Learn to identify and diagnose issues with die and mold components.
Support the repair and replacement of damaged or worn parts.
Participate in preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability.
Collaborate with experienced technicians to develop skills and knowledge.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some mechanical and/or light repair experience. Knowledge of basic hand tools and how to utilize them.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other FEC employees.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to work independently as part of a team. Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
