The Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for performing high quality diagnostic images. Potential candidate must possess high energy, be compassionate, flexible, and have great attention to detail. Candidate must be flexible to work 3 days/week (no weekends) and the position will be based at the outpatient clinic in Munster, Indiana and report to the Manager of Radiology. We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package./span/p pstrongEssential Duties and Responsibilities/strong/p ul lispanPrepare patient for radiologic procedures and takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety./span/li lispanMaintain working knowledge in the use of PACS, DR and CR Radiologic equipment./span/li lispanTrains with new procedures and technologies as they are added to the Radiology workflow. /span/li lispanUse C-Arm where appropriate./span/li lispanPrepare medications and assists the physician with Fluoroscopic procedures./span/li lispanMaintain procedure rooms and stocks necessary medical and fluoroscopy supplies. /span/li lispanPrepares and positions patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.  /span/li lispanAdjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician. Holding of the patient may be required for certain exams where immobilization devices cannot be used. /span/li lispanExplains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation./span/li lispanMoves imaging equipment into specified position, determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of penetration required, and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy./span/li lispanPractices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff./span/li lispanPerforms specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures./span/li lispanAssists physicians in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.  Measures and prepares medication and contrast media./span/li lispanProcesses images and reviews for proper identification and quality control./span/li lispanPrepares images for reading by the requesting physician./span/li lispanNotifies the Radiology Manager regarding malfunctions and repairs as needed./span/li lispanProperly uses EHR to enter CPT codes for billing purposes./span/li lispanProperly uses EHR and PACS for Radiology and charting purposes. /span/li lispanOther duties as assigned./span/li /ul pspanstrongEducation and/or Experience/strong/span/p ul lispanGraduate of an accredited X-Ray Technologist Program./span/li lispanCertified Registered Technician of Radiography (RT-R.)/span/li lispanIEMA and ARRT Certification./span/li /ul pspan /span/p pstrongWhat’s in it for you?
