Other duties may be assigned./pulliResponsible for safe work practices ensuring accident-free work environment./liliRegular attendance is an essential function./liliEffective communication and interpersonal skills are required./liliMust be computer literate and have a firm understanding of instrumentation (pneumatic 0-10V, 4-20mA)./liliSelects, installs, calibrates, and checks sensing, telemetering, and recording instrumentation and circuitry, and develops specifications for nonstandard apparatus according to engineering data, characteristics of equipment under test, and capabilities of procurable test apparatus./liliSketches and builds or modifies fixtures, instruments and related apparatus, and verifies dimensional and functional acceptability of devices fabricated by craft or technical personnel./liliPerforms preventive and corrective maintenance of test apparatus and peripheral equipment./liliOperates test apparatus during test cycle to produce, regulate, and record effects of actual or simulated conditions such as vibration, stress, temperature, humidity, pressure, altitude, and acceleration./liliAnalyzes and converts test data to usable form and prepares graphs and written reports to translate test results./liliUses computerized equipment and software to perform testing functions and produce graphs./liliRequires strong AC/DC drive, PLC and relay logic troubleshooting skills./liliPlan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes./liliPrepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring./liliMeasures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit./liliPulls wiring through conduit./liliSplices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps./liliConnects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment./liliInstalls control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels./liliConnects power cables to equipment, such as drives and motor, and installs grounding leads./liliTests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments./liliObserves functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement./liliRepairs/replaces faulty equipment or systems./liliPractices good housekeeping techniques ensuring a safe work environment./liliOther duties as assigned/li/ulpstrongQUALIFICATIONS/strong/ppTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
