This person will be located out of spanbFulton/b/spanb County Jail, Atlanta Georgia /b./pp/pp/ppbRESPONSIBILITY LEVEL:/b/pp/ppPerforms a variety of repairs and services in a specialized building system environment with a high emphasis on HVAC, Mechanical Systems, building maintenance, carpentry, painting and plumbing. Working knowledge of Electrical / Electronic BAS, and other similar types of related equipment and systems is a PLUS./pp/ppbPRINCIPLE DUTIES:/b/pp1. Service, Repair, Maintain, Monitor and Adjust HVAC systems to keep within allowable parameters./pp2. Performs a variety of service work, general maintenance and custodial activities. This may include carpentry, painting, plumbing, minor grounds keeping, along with facility repairs to building systems, electrical fixtures, appliances, and equipment./pp3. Provides direction and training to less experienced Oamp;M Specialists./pp4. Plans, selects, and lays out required materials for service, repair and preventive maintenance work./pp5. Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions and operates a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations./pp6. Requisitions new supplies and equipment./pp7. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures./pp8. Is required to participate in an on-call rotation schedule to attend to emergency situations at the facility./pp9. Complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards./pp10. Perform other duties as required./pp/ppbREQUIREMENTS:/b/pp1. Requires two year technical degree or two years’ experience as an Operations amp; Maintenance Specialist II, or completion of an apprenticeship program./pp2. Requires five or more years’ experience in operations and maintenance./pp3. Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs./pp4. Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc./pp5. Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed./pp6. Required to use a variety of hand and power tools or man lift./pp7. Basic Electrical system working knowledge. /pp8. May be required to possess a valid driver’s license./pp9. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment./pp10. Must be able to pass a thorough background check and subject interview./pp/ppbPREFERRED:/b/pp1. Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification./pp2. Working knowledge of Metasys (BMS)./pp/ppHIRING HOURLY RANGE: $24.38-$30.48 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
