Provide product definition through bills of material and appropriate documentation for new and revised electrical system designs. Ensure the smooth flow of operations within the engineering department by optimizing engineering design(s) for manufacturing process efficiency and effectiveness.  Focus on minimizing number of parts in a product design to reduce cost, eliminate waste, and minimize opportunities for defects. Internship to start May 2026./pp/ppbYOUR IMPACT/b/pulliPrepare engineering drawings, layouts and schematics using computer aided design software./liliCreate Bills of Material (BOM)./liliSelect materials for engineered parts./liliDimension and tolerance drawings to ensure proper assembly fit./liliConform to drafting standards and department policies./liliPrepare engineering change notices (ECN)./liliConsult and coordinate with suppliers./liliChecks own work and that of others./liliWorks independently with minimal direction./liliMaintain a working knowledge of One World, PRIDE and PC network systems./liliSupport Customer Service with direction on electrical and multiplexing related field problems./liliSupport manufacturing with direction on electrical and multiplexing related questions, features and upgrades./liliSupport Production Specialists with direction on option configuration./li/ulp/pp bMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/b/pulliStudent working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or engineering related field for the entire duration of the internship./li/ulp/ppbSTANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS/b/pulliAbility to work full time (40 hours per week) throughout the summer./liliProfessional oral and written communication skills./liliExperience with automotive/heavy duty truck electrical applications and communication networks./liliRobust analytical and problem-solving skills./liliExperience with CATIA V5 / SmarTeam application, SolidWorks, CATIA V5 Electrical./liliExperience with 2D computer aided design software Zuken E³.
