Health Fitness Coordinator (Temporary)

pstrongAbout This Role: /strong/p pUnder minimal supervision, thestrong Health Fitness Coordinator/strong oversees the facility, performs fitness testing, equipment orientation, develops individual fitness programs and leads training classes. Is responsible for implementing, coordinating, and evaluating monthly wellness programs for employees and members./p pDemonstrates behavior consistent with company’s values of Customer Satisfaction, Innovation, Family, and Social Responsibility./p pstrongem*This temporary assignment is expected to last through April 2026, but may be shortened or lengthened based on business needs.  /em/strong/p pemstrong*The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 5:50am-2:20pm. /strong/em/p pstrongEssential Job Functions/Tasks: /strong/p ul style="list-style-type: circle;" liResponsible for coordinating, implementing, and evaluating monthly health and wellness training programs. Responsible for producing program material, such as promotional material and waivers if appropriate.  Supports and promotes all Wellness Center programs./li liPerforms Wellness coaching by supporting and promoting individual healthy lifestyle changes and goal setting on physical health, activity levels, nutritional patterns, personal demands, seasonal factors, and effective stress management./li liDevelops and revises individualized exercise programs for members. Provides instruction for proper use of exercise equipment.  Provides training and coaching on exercise, injury prevention, nutrition, and fitness activities./li liChecks-in members at the front desk and ensures their membership is current./li liAnswers phones to provide information as to activities and events, general information, scheduling of assessments or exercise programming./li liUtilizes various marketing techniques to recruit new members and support member retention./li liCollects articles and production and distribution of educational information./li liTeaches group exercise, monitors individual performance, adjusts schedule according customer needs and tracks participation./li liTracks and documents new and cancelled memberships./li liPerforms body fat testing and blood pressure checks when requested./li liConducts facility tours, sign up new members, and verify all paperwork is complete: liability releases signed, payroll deduction or EFT forms completed and signed, photos taken, and information logged into the KI system for tracking./li liInspects the building before opening in the morning to assure that the facility is clean, orderly, and a pleasant environment to work out in./li liMaintains flexible hours and works a varied schedule due to company demand./li liManages upkeep of the whole facility and reports facility maintenance issues./li /ul pstrongEducation/Training Preferred: /strong/p ul style="list-style-type: circle;" liAssociate’s degree in health science or equivalent experience working in the health and fitness industry.  br /Cardio‐pulmonary resuscitation and first aid certification.
