That is why we offer great compensation, awesome benefits, and a work environment worth bragging about!/pstrongJob Description:/strongpDCS Asset Maintenance is looking for a "Skilled" Highway Maintenance Technician/Guardrail Installer to perform various highway maintenance tasks and other related duties under close supervision. We are seeking a qualified individual who is eager to train in routine highway/roadway maintenance while adhering to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines./ppCandidates at this level may need additional training or experience to fully master some or all of the job duties. Examples of responsibilities include, but are not limited to, repairing cable guardrails and guardrails, clearing drainage systems, removing downed trees, patching damaged or eroded pavements and shoulders, assisting with storm cleanup, repairing fences and signs, removing litter and debris, and responding to emergencies./ppstronguMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:/u/strong/pulli• Interpreting plans and schematics/lili• Installing and setting up Highway Guardrail layouts/lili• Handling and placing materials for guardrail installation/lili• Loading and unloading materials on flat-bed trucks or trailers manually, digging holes, and using power tools/lili• Operating the Post Pounder/Driver Truck/lili• Operating equipment used for Highway Maintenance/lili• Utilizing hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and brooms/lili• Using power tools like chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, and backpack blowers/lili• Ability to work in various weather conditions/lili• Capability to lift moderately heavy objects/lili• Physical endurance to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for extended periods/lili• Strong eye-hand coordination/lili• Flexibility to adapt to changes in work plans and schedules based on workload or seasonal requirements/lili• Demonstrated high work ethic and commitment to the job/lili• Any combination of training or experience that enables successful performance of essential roadway maintenance duties./li/ulstrongQualifications:/strongpuEDUCATION:/u/pulliHigh School Diploma or Equivalent is required./li/ulpuEXPERIENCE:/u/pullistrongClass A or B CDL Required/strong/liliMust be at least 18#xa0;years of age or older./liliMust possess a valid Virginia#xa0;driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving./liliMust have demonstrated training and/or experience to perform essential job functions in maintenance of roadway activities./liliMust be at least 18 years of age or older.#xa0;/liliMust have a construction background/ experience.#xa0;/liliHeavy labor experience a plus./lilistrongMust be available to work night shift from 7 PM to 5 AM.#xa0;/strong/li/ulstrongAdditional Information:/strongpstrongBenefit Highlights:/strong/pulliChallenging and rewarding work environment/liliCompetitive Compensation/liliExcellent Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Plan/lili401(K)/liliGenerous Paid Time Off/liliCareer Development/liliPay rate: D.O.E./li/ulpstronguCome be a part of the DeAngelo family, today!/u/strong/ppDCSAM is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all hiring and employment regulations.
