This role focuses on building confidence, coordination, and a love for skiing through age-appropriate games and activities. Instructors ensure the physical and emotional well-being of each child while fostering a positive learning experience on the slopes./ppYou will serve as both an educator and ambassador of the resort, ensuring that every guest interaction reflects our commitment to safety, fun and learning. In addition to teaching, you will contribute to a positive team culture, participate in ongoing training, and support the overall goals of the Children’s Center. Success is measured by guest satisfaction, employee experience, and the acquisition of skills./ppPart-time instructors are expected to work 2-3 days a week, and full-time instructors are expected to work 4-5 days a week./pp/ppbEssential Functions and Major Responsibilities/b:/pulliTeaches beginner zone ski lessons utilizing PSIA/AASI methodology./liliTeaches mainly 3-6 year-old, first time and beginner ski lessons. All our lessons are for children./liliProvide engaging, safe, and effective ski lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of each guest, using the curriculum and techniques outlined in the Handbook./liliCreate a welcoming and supportive learning environment that prioritizes guest enjoyment, confidence, and progress. Actively seek and respond to guest feedback./liliAssess student abilities and provide clear, constructive feedback to support skill acquisition and progression across all levels./liliUphold and model all safety protocols and mountain policies. Maintain situational awareness and respond appropriately to changing conditions and guest needs./liliAttend required training sessions and actively pursue professional development opportunities to enhance instructional techniques and personal riding or skiing skills. We offer a season long PSIA/AASI certification based training program./li/ulp/ppbSecondary Responsibilities/b:/pulliShovel snow/liliLearning area set-up/tear-down/liliComplete lesson records, incident reports and other required documentation in a timely manner/liliHelp dress skiers prior to heading on the snow/liliWork inside the daycare facility as a Childcare Attendant/li/ulp/ppbSpecific Job Skills/b:                        /ppuLicense/Certifications/u- PSIA Certifications preferred, position is subject to background check, finger printing, and CPR/1st Aid Certification/ppuTechnical/u- None/ppuPhysical Capabilities/u-/pulliEmployee must be capable of skiing in all types of terrain in varying and sometimes hazardous snow and weather conditions at an intermediate level./liliMust be capable of standing for long periods of time, in ski equipment./liliMust be capable of frequently or constantly balancing, reaching, squatting, bending, kneeling, stooping, handling and twisting./liliMay require out of the ordinary skiing movements in order to assist children on the mountain./liliMust be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 75bs.    /li/ulpuAdditional/u-/pulliExcellent and professional verbal communication skills are necessary/liliAbility to work in a team environment with a growth mindset and desire to collaborate, communicate and encourage./liliWillingness to continue personal development in the realms of people skills, teaching skills and technical skills/li/ulp/ppbEducation/Related Experience/b:/ppuMinimum education required/u- Ability to communicate, read and write in English./ppuMinimum time in related position/u- Previous experience working with Children preferred.
