This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery while maintaining compliance with all company policies and governmental regulations. This position will also assist the Maintenance Lead with other projects and duties as needed./ppstrongPosition Responsibilities:/strong/pul type="disc"liMeet or exceed plant business plan and KPIrsquo;s/liliKeep equipment running and operational during processing hours/liliPerform preventive and urgent maintenance of general production machinery and equipment/liliDiagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments/liliTake a proactive approach to issue resolution including root cause analyses and error proofing controls related to down time/liliUse a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment to perform duties/liliDetect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision/liliComply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas/liliHave basic SQF knowledge and understanding/liliAdhere to all company Good Manufacturing Procedures/li/ulpstrongPhysical Requirements of a Maintenance Technician:/strong/pul type="disc"liFast paced work environment./liliLift fifty or more pounds on a regular basis./liliBend, lift, pull, push, stoop, bend and climb./li/ulpstrongRequirements:/strong (knowledge, experience, skills, education)/pul type="disc"liMechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills/liliOrganized and detail oriented/liliWilling to work off schedule shifts and/or days when necessary/liliPrior experience troubleshooting equipment, performing preventive maintenance and repairing industrial processing equipment/li/ulpstrongPreferred Qualifications:/strong/pul type="disc"liA minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial machinery maintenance within a manufacturing environment/li/ulpstrongAbout Opal Foods:/strong Opal Foods formed in 2014 and is a partnership between Rose Acre Farms and Weaver Brothers.
