Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

Coverage Needed:

• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Ongoing
• Call Schedule: Two weekends a month, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Schedule: Friday 7am through Monday 7am every other weekend
• Coverage Type: 24-Hour Call

Clinical Details:

• Practice Setting: Hospital Call, 90% Labor and Delivery
• Call Ratio: 1:4
• Total Number of Beds: L&D/Post Partum/Triage 34 Beds, Hospital 205
• Number of Physicians in Practice: 4
• Number of APPs Provide Coverage: 1 per 12-hour shift
• Onsite Lab & Ultrasound
• Support Staff: L&D Nurses and Midwives
• Percentage of Practice: 60% Low Risk Pregnancy, 40% High Risk Pregnancy, 60% GYN
• Average Number of GYN Surgeries Per Day: 5
• Percentage of Patients are C-Section: 1
• Average Number of Nursery Admissions Per Day: 4
• Nursery Level: Level II
• Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
• Required Obstetrics Procedures:
  • Low Risk Pregnancy (i.e. History of Twins, Toxemia, Pyelonephritis, etc.), High Risk Pregnancy (i.e. with Toxemia, Diabetes, Class II or Higher Cardiacs, Chronic Lung Problems, Chronic Renal Disease, etc.), FHR Interpretation - NST/CST/FSE, OB ultrasounds - Performance of Interpretation, OB ultrasounds - Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability)
• Labor and Delivery Required Procedures:
  • Routine Delivery -Vaginal, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section, Complicated Delivery -C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc, VBAC's, Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations
• Gynecology Required Procedures:
  • Surgical Gynecology - Open, Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor Only-Tubal Ligation, LOA's, Chromal Tubation, Operative/Major (Includes Diagnostic) - Ectopic Pregnancy, Ovary Removal, Cystectomy, Extensive LOA's

Requirements:

• Board Certified
• OH license (willing to accept providers needing to obtain State License)
• BLS & ACLS
• Active DEA
